What is the language at ICACD2008?
The official language is English. We hope to provide translations in other future conferences.

Will I have opportunity to meet African Artists?
ICACD is designed to give participants a lot of time to pursue special interest. A lot of African artists will participate in the event and people who would like to make contacts can do so. You can also use your free time to take a city tour or relax on the tropical beaches or participate in any of ICACD’s interesting side events

Who are the speakers at the conference?
A number of distinguishes speakers have been invited. We will list all speakers on the website in few days' time.

What additional costs can I expect to incur?
Apart from the registration fees, you are expected to budget for accommodation, meals and any of the other side events you would like to participate. We decided against providing all meals to avoid overly regimenting the conference format, and to allow participants the fun of exploring the hundreds of great restaurant choices in Kumasi.

Is there an official conference airline? Are there discounts?
We are negotiating with some airlines to provide affordable tickets to participants of ICACD2008. We will publish official airlines on this website very soon.

How do I obtain a visa to the conference?
In general, in order to visit Ghana, you need to obtain a visitor’s visa from a Ghanaian Embassy or Consulate in your country. However, some countries are exempt from this requirement. If you need a visa, be sure to request a letter of invitation from us early so that your chances of obtaining a visa on time are greater.

What is the cancellation/ refund policy?
Requests for refunds will be honored when received fourteen calendar days prior to the program. However, another person may be substituted at any time for this program. A
50 administrative fee will be deducted for cancellations.

What will Kumasi be like during ICACD2008?

Since Ghana is only a few degrees north of the equator, the only seasonal changes are distinct wet and dry seasons. The month of April in Kumasi is Sunny with light rains. Day temperatures in April is between 260C-300C while night temperatures are between 180C-250C.

What is there to do in Kumasi?

Kumasi is the Ashanti Regional capital and it offers a wide range of activities for people of all ages and interests, including: sporting events, shopping, sunbathing, night life, a zoo, art galleries, museums and concerts.

What should I do when I arrive at the airport?
Transportation to and from the airport is not included as part of the conference fee and must be arranged by participants. We would however be able to arrange to pick participants from the airport if they arrange an accommodation with one of the official ICACD hotels at no extra costs.
