Organizers
The
International Conference on African Culture and
Development (ICACD) is an advocacy body instituted to
push forward cultural considerations into the policy
framework development of Africa. Governed by a Seven
member Board of Directors, ICACD has its secretariat in
Ghana. Its main activities include the organization of
conferences, symposia, workshops, lectures, etc. on
African Culture and the dissemination of recommendations
resulting from these international meetings on
culture and development.
The
ICACD Secretariat is currently organizing the International
Conference of African Culture and Development in Ghana
in April 2008. Collaborators and partners include;
Cultural Connections Organization, Oral Village Ideas,
Center for African Culture at the University of Science
and Technology,
etc.
